Although not earth-shattering, I think it poignant that Alma (the younger) gave the following explanation (in the form of rhetorical question) as the reason why Christ and the plan of salvation were known many years before Christ’s mortal ministry:“. . . is not a soul at this time as precious unto God as a soul will be at the time of his coming?” (Alma 39:17)Who can argue with that?
